A new trailer for the upcoming SSF IV has been released:
Just another WordPress weblog
Not to say much more than the title of this entry is. 3 more fighters have been confirmed by Capcom. So there are 2 more to come after the already known characters.
Here are some videos which show the new characters.
And finally a video showcasing the new game modes in SSF IV

Super Street Fighter IV
First details to Super Street Fighter IV have been announced at Gamespot.
The Game will look like the SF IV Game but will have new characters, a better online mode and some balancing of the already known characters from SF IV. It will come out in Spring 2010.

Maybe some of you guys know the music instrument Tenori-On from Yamaha. It got kinda popular in the Internet because of the Artist “Little Boots” on Youtube who used it in her songs.
Anyway – Now there’s a online version of a very similar synthesizer available from iNudge.
Pretty simple to use but with the right skills a real powerfull tool which can realy be used to create some nice sounds.
Try it out yourself:
As the classic fighting-game Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was re-released on XBOX360 and PS3 some days ago and the game itself may be a little confusing when you start playing it IGN has released a strategy guide with all the things you should know about the gameplay.

While I was surfing the net and watched some SF IV fights on Youtube I somehow got to a page where I read about a documentary movie about those professional fighting-game gamers. After some googling I found the source of this documentary: http://www.igotnextmovie.com/.
There you can watch the trailer of the movie and also find download links in SD and HD – and the best thing about it is that the whole movie is free to download.
So if you’re intrested in professional gaming and/or fighting games then watch this documentary.
Finally the about text from the offical homepage of the movie:
I Got Next is a free documentary on the fighting video game scene created by Ian Cofino (with much support from my friends, professors, and family). It originally started as my senior project at Purchase College, School of Art and Design, and has grown into something much bigger thanks to the dedicated and passionate players in the community. Originally envisioned as a short documentary, I Got Next has grown into a feature length production, which will see two releases, a short cut which premiered June 26th on ufragtv.com and a longer cut in the winter of ‘09.
Check out the Street Fighter IV strategy guide at IGN. This guid really covers the game mechanics rather nicely and therefore is a must read article for those who are serious about the game (except you already know all about the game mechanics *g*).
The guide also has a section with basic strategys for each character in the game. So long story short … just click on the image below and start reading ![]()
UPDATE: Forgot to mention that there’s also a nice guide on SF IV at EventHubs
So you probably’ve noticed that most of my entries where related to Beat’em Ups and the reason therefore is that I’m currently enjoying my holidays and so I’ve got enough time to play the games which where lying around for some time.
One of those games was SF IV which got me back into fighting games (like when I was about 12 years or something *g*).
So I’m playing SF IV hardcore on the PS3 and PC but there is one issue with both of the plattforms. (Actually there are two … cause the netcode of the game kinda suxx on both platforms) The native input methods on both platforms kinda suck to really play those kind of games. Algthoug the PS3 Controller is better for playing than the PC keyboard it’s still crappy for very precise input.
So the solution to this problem is an arcade stick! It takes some time to get used to it but if you finally master it you don’t want to go back to any other input device for Beat’em Up games.
To get yourself faster to better results with playing an arcade stick the people of eventhubs.com made a nice tutorial of how to use and play with an arcarde stick. So head over to their page and check the it out.
While browsing some gaming sites on the web I came across “League of Legends” the new game of the creators of the famous WC3 Mod DoTA. As I really like the basic concept and gameplay of DoTA the game looks kinda promising to me, althoug the graphics of the new game aren’t any better than those of DoTA which is kinda sad when you think of how old the WC3 engine is. Anyway if the strategic depth is good enough the game will probably be a must have title to me
Here the official game trailer and the offical gameplay trailer
Ah and the registration phase for the beta of the game already begun so if you’re interested in participating in it you may want to check the offical homepage http://www.leagueoflegends.com/
